About Me
I have a Master's Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of the West of England.
I have worked for over thirty years in the helping and wellbeing professions, alongside bringing up my family. I was a registered nurse for many years and then numerous years as an adult Skills for Life Tutor. I have worked for large organisations such as the NHS and various charities, including family focused ones, community ones and mental health organisations.
I am passionate about promoting wellbeing. I have co-facilitated wellbeing groups on topics such as managing anxiety and depression, building resilience and Ways to Wellbeing.
I believe counselling should be available to all sections of society. I am a trustee at a small charity organisation in an area of high deprivation and I give my time one day a week offering free counselling to clients.
I have lived and worked in Bristol all my adult life and moved to Saltford two years ago. I enjoy swimming, cycling, walking, singing, creative writing and spending time in my garden and home.
